General Membership Meetings

The CCBE general membership comprises county member boards that have paid the annual CSBA and CCBE membership dues in full. The general membership is responsible for the governance of the organization. They are to initiate, review, amend and adopt bylaws, policies, goals, objectives, and resolutions of CCBE, and elect CCBE officers and the nominating committee.

Two general membership meetings per year are held in conjunction with the CCBE Annual Conference in September held in Monterey and the CSBA Annual Education Conference and Trade Show (alternating locations, north, and south, early December). CCBE vice president, president-elect, and treasurer elections occur at the December meeting. Immediately following this meeting, the CCBE president becomes CCBE's immediate past president, and the CCBE president-elect becomes the incoming president. The September general membership meeting is similar to the December meeting, except for officer elections and changes in the office.

For the business of CCBE to occur, each county office of education must designate their county's voting representative that will be attending the CCBE General Membership meetings. Therefore, we ask each county office of education to fill out the County Voting Representative Form and submit it to ccbe@csba.org at the beginning of each year.
