General Membership Meetings
The CCBE general membership is composed of county member boards that have paid in full the annual CSBA and CCBE membership dues. The general membership is responsible for the governance of the organization. Their duties are to initiate, review, amend and adopt bylaws, policies, goals, objectives and resolutions of CCBE, and elect CCBE officers and the nominating committee.
There are two general membership meetings per year held in conjunction with the CCBE Annual Conference in September held in Monterey, and the CSBA Annual Education Conference and Trade Show (alternating locations, north and south, early December). CCBE vice president, president-elect and treasurer elections occur at the December meeting. Immediately following this meeting, the CCBE president becomes CCBE immediate past president and CCBE president-elect becomes the incoming president. The September general membership meeting is similar to the December meeting with the exception of officer elections and changes in office.
In order for the business of CCBE to occur, it is important that each county office of education designate their county's voting representative that will be attending the CCBE General Membership meetings and ask that each county office of education fill out the county voting representative form and submit it to email@example.com each year.
